Bosworth Honors Great Neck HS Students at Yom HaShoah Celebration
On May 2, 2011, Leg. Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck), in partnership with Leg. Howard Kopel (R- Lawrence) and the Jewish Community Relations Council of Long Island commemorated Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) at the Nassau County Legislature. The program included a presentation honoring Holocaust survivor Gloria Glantz and recognition of Nassau County Youth working to create a more civil society. The two students from the Great Neck High Schools who were recognized were Laura Goldring (Great Neck North High School) and Jason Emanuel (Great Neck South High School). This was the first of what Leg. Bosworth hopes will be many occasions when the community can come together at the legislature for this meaningful and moving program.
