New Nassau County Police Academy Opens

Nassau County Legislator Peter J. Schmitt, Minority Leader of the Legislature, congratulates Inspector Karen O’Callaghan on the opening of the new Nassau County Police Academy. “The academy is open for business,” said Legislator Schmitt. “The first class of future Police Officers is in session, and we welcome the additional police presence to our community.” The academy is located at the Hawthorne school, and Inspector O’Callaghan is the Commander.
