Ex-Massapequa Fire Chief Honored For Service

Richard Hurst, ex Chief of the Massapequa Fire Department, was honored at the annual Installation of Officers Dinner in recognition of fifty years of service to the Department and the community. Nassau County Legislator Peter J. Schmitt was on hand to congratulate Richard and present a Distinguished Service Citation from the Legislature in his honor. “For Fifty years of dedication, exemplary and professional service to the Massapequa community, I am proud to proclaim May 5th as “Ex Chief Richard Hurst Day” in Nassau County.,” said Schmitt.
