Schmitt Attends Flag Day Ceremony at Birch Lane School

Massapequa Elks Lodge #2162 of Massapequa held Annual Flag Day observances at Birch Lane School in Massapequa. Nassau County Legislator Peter J. Schmitt, himself a member of the Massapequa Lodge, spoke to the Assembly, and as the history of the American Flag was detailed for the students, Lodge members- all Veterans most of whom saw combat-displayed the progression of flags.
