Schmitt Speaks to Massapequa Chapter of AARP

Nassau County Legislator Peter J. Schmitt, the Republican leader of the Nassau County Legislature, was the guest speaker of the Massapequa Chapter of the AARP. Schmitt spoke about the Nassau County budget, and the unnecessary property tax increases proposed by County Executive Tom Suozzi. “This is not the time to be raising taxes on anybody,” said Schmitt. “Just like you have to in your own homes, government should be cutting spending.”
