Presiding Officer Schmitt Honors Former Massapequa Fire Dept. Chief

The members of the Massapequa Fire Department recently held their Annual Installation of Officers ceremony and Presiding Officer Peter J. Schmitt was on hand to honor Outgoing Chief, Thomas Fitzsimmons.

Presiding Officer Schmitt proclaimed May 1st, 2010 as “Chief Thomas Fitzsimmons Day” in Nassau County, “in recognition of the sacrifices made by you in leading this Department in service to the Massapequa Community over the past several years, the past two as Chief of the Department.”
