Legislator Dave Mejias Presents County Honors to Catherine Flanagan

Nassau County Legislator Dave Mejias (D-Farmingdale) recently presented the 2009 Nassau County Woman Trailblazer Award to Catherine Flanagan of Plainedge. Catherine, a 17-year resident off Plainedge has volunteered to serve her education community in myriad ways. She has held board and committee positions in the PTA; on the school district’s policy committee and is a staunch advocate for Plainedge taxpayers. Last May, Catherine was elected to a second, three-year term on the Plainedge School Board. She has served as vice president of the Board of Education and has earned distinguished status from the NY State School Boards Association.

Catherine and her husband, Dan, have three children in the Plainedge Schools. Congratulations to Catherine Flanagan.
