Legislature Installed at Induction Ceremony

Garden City, NY –Nassau
County Legislator Diane Yatauro (D-Glen Cove) took
the oath of office as a Nassau County Legislator for
the second time on Tuesday, January 6, stating that
she will continue to seek the path that leads to public
policy-making that is founded on wisdom and imbued
with integrity.

Democratic
lawmakers, who will again hold a 10-9 majority, were sworn in by the Hon. Arthur
D. Spatt, U.S. District Court Judge, at the 10 a.m. ceremony in the Physical
Fitness Center of Nassau Community College. Also present was guest speaker
Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi.
Legislator
Yatauro’s agenda for 2006 includes continuing the public works projects
for improved infrastructure within the 18th LD; continuing to fight to maintain
open space in the 18th LD; continuing to work closely with the Nassau County
Police Department for the betterment of the community; and continuing
to support those programs which offer financial assistance to senior citizens.“
