Legislature approves contract
for rehab of Bayville Bridge

Nassau County Legislator Diane
Yatauro (D-Glen Cove) was named chair of two legislative
committees last week at the legislature’s February 13 session. Legislator
Yatauro will once again chair the Towns, Villages, and
Cities Committee and was also named chair of the Government
Services Committee. Yatauro is also a member of the Health
and Human Services; Public Works; and Planning, Development, & the
Environment; and Finance committees.
In other business, the Legislature’s
Rules Committee approved a $2 Million contract with J.
D. Posillico, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the Bayville
Bridge to address corrosion problems. The project includes
the removal and installation of the sidewalk, roadway,
and concrete filled steel grating, rehabilitation of various
steel supports, painting and general repairs. |
