Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) joined veterans at Nassau County’s 10th Veterans Stand Down. The community based intervention program is designed to help homeless veterans “combat” life on the streets. The Stand Down, the 10th for Long Island, is part of the program, VETS (Veterans Employment and Training Services) established by the Nassau County Veterans Services Agency and the Education & Assistance Corporation.
