Denenberg Presents County Honors to Rob Weltner

Earlier this month, Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg presented Rob Weltner, the president of SPLASH (Stop Polluting Littering And Save Harbors), with a County citation in recognition of Mr. Weltner’s long-standing commitment to the protection our waterways. SPLASH is a volunteer, non-profit that provides a solution to the growing problem of waterfront pollution through public awareness and individual participation. SPLASH has hundreds of active members who are dedicated to keeping our coastal waterways pollution free, allowing marine life to thrive once again in the bays. Just last week, SPLASH volunteers collected 25,000 pounds of trash.
