Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick), chair of the legislature’s Planning, Development and the Environment Committee, will be holding a hearing on Monday, March 26, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., to address the status of National Grid USA’s proposed acquisition of KeySpan.
Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) and members of the Planning, Development & Environment Committee. Invited speakers include representatives from: National Grid, KeySpan, LIPA, DEC.
A hearing to address the impact the proposed acquisition may have on Nassau County residents in terms of KeySpan’s assessment lawsuit, synergy savings and ratepayers, power generation supply, rates, local employment, cleanup of contaminated sites in Nassau, clean and/or alternative energy, the environment, and refurbishing or repowering existing facilities.
