Who can benefit from Education and Training Services?
Employees in Nassau County departments, clients, and
employees in community-based treatment agencies, as
well as students, teachers, parents and the general
public all can benefit from our educational programs. Trainers
are experienced, knowledgeable, and available to provide
information on chemical abuse and many health-related
issues.
What kind of Education and Training activities
are available to Nassau County residents?
Training services vary according to the audience
and the topic. For elementary through high school grades,
activities include assembly programs, teacher in-service
training and presentations at PTA meetings. Program
series can also be arranged on an individual basis at
the request of a school district or for college presentations. Information
is shared with the general public through public health
fairs, distribution of literature, and in response to
special requests. For chemical dependency professionals,
a training calendar is distributed monthly via email.
