The New York State Emergency Management Office (SEMO) has announced the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Fiscal Year 2009 Unified Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) Program.  The Unified HMA Program consolidates the deadlines and many of the procedures for four previously-distinct FEMA mitigation grant programs:  

 

                        ---the Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program (PDM);

                        ---the Flood Mitigation Assistance Program (FMA);

                        ---the Repetitive Flood Claims Program (RFC);

                        ---the Severe Repetitive Loss Program (SRL).

 These grants can be used for a variety of planning and project grants, and you are encouraged to review your existing hazard mitigation planning documents to identify potential projects.  The following are provided for your consideration:

4. A Letter of Intent (LOI) to be completed and returned to SEMO by interested potential sub-applicants.MS Word File
