Michael Amante Performs During Italian American Night at Lakeside Theatre on June 26

Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi will welcome renowned recording artist Michael Amante to Eisenhower Park's Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre as part of Italian American Night, on Monday, June 26.

A versatile and gifted performer often dubbed "The Fourth Tenor," Amante sings in a variety of languages and styles, from classical to Italian Art to Broadway tunes. Amante has performed for numerous dignataries, including several U.S. presidents, and has appeared in a variety of venues across the country.

As part of the evening's entertainment, Nassau County resident Kevin Covais, of "American Idol" fame, will make a guest appearance. Other performers include Jerry Cardone and the Al Miller Big Band, who will present a tribute to Frank Sinatra.

The show will begin at 7:30, with a "Festa Italiana" food festival starting at 5 p.m.

Amante's appearance is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Anheuser-Busch; the entire International Night Music and Noontime Concert series is presented by the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums, through a grant from Canon U.S.A.

The Italian American Night is coordinated by the Grand Lodge of the New York Order Sons of Italy in America.
