Nassau County Aquatic Center Offers "Total Health Pass" for College Students During Winter Break

AquaticSwiming
The Nassau County Aquatic Center is one of the finest indoor swimming facilities in the U.S.

College students can keep busy swimming and working out at the Nassau County Aquatic Center over the winter school break by purchasing a special “College Total Health Pass,” announced Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi.

The pass, available for only $35, is good between December 15 and January 31 and includes unlimited access to the Olympic-size swimming pool and the beautiful state-of-the-art fitness center that overlooks the pool.

A valid college I.D. is required for membership, along with a Nassau County Leisure Pass. If a student does not have a Leisure Pass, one can be purchased for $15 (it is valid for three years).

Centrally located in Eisenhower Park on Merrick Avenue in East Meadow, the Nassau County Aquatic Center is one of the premier swimming facilities in the country. Built in 1998 for the Goodwill Games, it serves the general public as well as competitive swimmers.

The Aquatic Center regularly hosts major national swim meets, college swimming and diving meets, and local and regional high school age-group competitions.

For those who wish to plan ahead, the Aquatic Center is also offering a “Summer Break” membership for college students from May 15 through September 15, at a cost of $95.

The Aquatic Center is open seven days a week, but will be closed during the holiday season on December 24 and January 1. For more information about the Aquatic Center, call 516-572-0501.
