Canon Noontime Concert Series Begins July 9 in Eisenhower Park
Music will fill the air at Eisenhower Park on Wednesday afternoons this summer with the return of the weekly Canon Noontime Concert Series, announced Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi. Each two-hour concert will begin at noon.
This year’s program offers a variety of musical styles, including big band, classics and oldies, rock, steel drum/Caribbean, and country. Through the generous sponsorship of Canon U.S.A., Inc., these concerts are presented free of charge by the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums.
All concerts are held in the shady area adjacent to parking fields 6 and 6A; it is suggested that concert-goers bring their own chairs.
Eisenhower Park is located in East Meadow with entrances on Hempstead Turnpike at East Meadow Avenue, and at the intersection of Stewart and Merrick avenues. For information, call 572-0200 weekdays during business hours.
