KJOY 98.3 will bring music and giveaways to the Christopher Morley Park ice skating rink.

Christopher Morley Park Skating Rink Hosts “KJOY Nights” on February19

KJOY 98.3, Long Island’s independent FM radio station, is hosting its first “KJOY Nights” promotion at the popular Christopher Morley Park outdoor ice-skating rink on February 19 from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m., announced Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano.

As part of the program, the station will provide music drawn from its adult-contemporary play list and patrons will have the opportunity to win DVDs, CDs, T-shirts and gift certificates. Regular charges at the rink will apply (ranging from $4 to $14).

The Christopher Morley Park skating rink, located in Roslyn-North Hills, offers three two-hour day sessions six days a week from Monday through Thursday and on weekends beginning at 10:30 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 4 p.m. On Friday, there are sessions at 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Christopher Morley is a hilly, tree-lined 98-acre park located on Searingtown Road just north of Exit 36 on the L.I.E. In addition to the rink, the park includes a large, modern playground; basketball, handball and tennis courts; baseball fields; a nine-hole golf course; heavily wooded nature trails; and a fitness trail. The County’s second outdoor skating rink is located at Grant Park in Hewlett (516-571-7821) and is open Wednesday through Sunday, with three two-hour day sessions at 10:30 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 3 p.m., and one evening two-hour session on Friday at 8:30 p.m. The County also has an indoor rink at Cantiague Park in Hicksville open seven days a week (516-571-7056).
