Eisenhower Park to host Long Island's Largest Fireworks Display as Part of Fourth of July Celebration, on July 1
Eisenhower Park’s Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre will again host Long Island's largest fireworks show as part of the Fourth of July celebration on Saturday, July 1, marking the third straight year the park is playing host to the nation’s birthday.
The event is being sponsored by Commerce Bank and features a 23-minute state-of-the-art fireworks display by Grucci, the prominent fireworks entertainment and manufacturing company based on Long Island. "This is a world-class fireworks program featuring an electronically fired computer-generated script and a choreography between the music and the fireworks," says Phillip Butler, producer of the event. As part of the evening's entertainment, there will be a musical salute to the Beatles, "Classical Mystery Tour: A Tribute to the Beatles."
Free tickets to the event are available at Commerce Bank on Long Island while supplies last and are required for entry. Gates open at 6 p.m., rain or shine, with performances beginning at approximately 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited and some patrons may be directed to other viewing and parking areas, including Nassau Community College. Music will be simulcast by WALK 97.5FM and Q104.3FM
Eisenhower Park is located in East Meadow off Merrick Avenue between Hempstead Turnpike and Old Country Road.
