Aquatic Fitness
The Aquatic Center offers a wide array of adult activities both in and out of the water. For those seeking the low impact of water exercise, we offer several different types of classes throughout the week, both day and night.

Aquatic Fitness Classes
Aquaerobics – Water is a perfect environment for exercising, losing weight, strengthening, toning muscles, reducing stress, relaxing and simply having fun. This is an exercise program performed in shallow water. This program gives the benefits of massage and improves circulation, muscle tone, joint flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. It is a total body workout. 20 people per class.
Dance Aquaerobics – This is a rhythmic-based water aerobics class with the aim of strengthening and toning muscles. Water exercise is a low impact and high resistance workout. This exercise class allows you to work out while having fun listening to hits from the 1950s up through current pop charts. The program is performed in shallow water.
Aqua Arms & Abs – An aquatic body-conditioning class involving strengthening exercises, cardiovascular fitness, and range of motion exercises. This program will concentrate on shoulders, back, arms and abdominal regions leading to an increase in muscle tone and strength.
Joint Efforts – This class is a recreational series of gentle activities in the pool using the water environment to decrease pain and stiffness, and improve and maintain joint flexibility. This program is great for seniors, those suffering with arthritis, and those recovering from injuries. 15 people per class.
Aquajog – A deep-water exercise program designed as a zero-impact total body workout. Studies indicate that one-half hour of aqua jogging is equal to one hour and 20 minutes of running on land without stress on the joints. 20 people per class.
Hydrosculpt – This interval training workout includes aerobic conditioning followed by concentrated strength training for the arms and abs. Equipment may be used to increase resistance through the water to enjoy theoptimal benefit of the exercises. 20 people per class.
Fee: Leisure Passport plus $55 (10-week class). All Aquatic Fitness classes are one-hour long.
Class Registration Rules & Regulations

A Leisure Passport is required at time of registration. We cannot look up a Leisure Passport in the computer system.

Sign-up is first-come, first-serve and must be done in person. Places in line cannot be held for someone else. Upon arrival, you must go to the end of the line.

Payment in full is due at the time of registration.
