On September 23, 2009, County Executive Tom Suozzi held a public meeting at the Nassau Coliseum to unveil the New Suburbia - 90/10 Coalition and the Master Plan Executive Summary. Environmental Review Process (SEQRA) (updated 10.6.09)
Pursuant to the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), the Nassau County Planning Commission acting as lead agency has determined that a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement (DGEIS) will be prepared to evaluate the potential environmental impacts resulting from the adoption of the 2009 Nassau County Master Plan
The Nassau County Planning Commission adopted the final scope for the Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement (DGEIS) at their regular meeting on October 1, 2009.

Public Meetings
On July 22, 2009, County Executive Thomas Suozzi hosted a forum for people under the age of 35 on the future of Nassau County. The event was a huge success with over 200 young people in attendance. Participants were given the opportunity to voice their concerns and perspectives on the future of Nassau County. A copy of the meeting presentation can be accessed by clicking HERE.
