OUTPATIENT REHABILITATION

Persons who have experienced heart attacks, strokes, some types of surgery, and/or serious injuries require special rehabilitative services to assist in the recovery process. After hospitalization or a period of time in a nursing home, and if further rehabilitation services are recommended, some hospitals and nursing homes have outpatient Rehabilitation Divisions which provide physical, occupational, and speech therapy, supportive counseling, and social work services. It is important to check fees and insurance coverage.
