NASSAU COUNTY SENIOR CITIZEN LEISURE PASSPORT
WHERE TO OBTAIN IT
Nassau County residents 60 years of age and over are eligible for the specially-marked Senior Citizen Leisure Passport. Application must be made in person with proof of age and residency. The fee is $25.00 and is valid for as long as county residency is maintained. Residency must be revalidated every three years. There is no additional fee for renewal; however, the full fee must be paid to replace a lost or stolen Passport.

PARKS AND RECREATION BENEFITS
- Required for entrance to most Nassau County parks.
- Reduced rates on most activities in the Nassau County partks which charge a fee, such as pools, golf courses, and ice skating rinks. Reduction is valid on weekdays only for golf courses. Holidays are excluded.
- Certain discounts at some Nassau County museums.
- Seasonal Beach Parking Sticker for Eugene Nickerson Beach Park - Lido Beach. A Seasonal Beach Parking Sticker may be purchased at the beach by presenting the Leisure Passport and the automobile registration.
- Participation in senior citizen recreation programs sponsored by:
A Disabled Leisure Pass is available to Nassau County residents with chronic physical and/or mentao disabilities. Persons applying for the Disabled Leisure Pass must provide proof of residency and must also complete a certification form (Click here for certification form). The form must be signed and stamped by a medical doctor or by the Nassau County Department of Health, with a description of the individual's disability.
Holders of this pass are elibible for the reduced fare program of the Nassau County Bus System (L.I. Bus) and for discounted fees within the Nassau County Parks system. The Disabled Leisure Pass is $25 and is valid for three years.

METROCARD PROGRAM
MTA LI Bus charges senior citizens half fare at all times with proper identification. Special advantages are available to seniors through its Metrocard program. Seniors who have the card can prepay their fares and receive free transfers on many connecting bus routes. They can also receive free rides for certain Metrocard purchases. For every $10 purchased in advance, one free ride is earned.

AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL - SENIOR PASS
This federally issued lifetime card entitles U.S. senior citizens, age 62 and over, to entrance into any National Park. It also entitles holder to a 50% discount on any fees for facilities and services such as camping, swimming, boat launching, and specialized interpretive services at federally administered areas.

EMPIRE PASSPORT
The Empire Passport provides unlimited day use vehicle entry to most of New York’s state parks and recreational facilities. The sticker can be obtained for $65 by applying in person at any state park, calling, or completing an application on the website.

EPIC - ELDERLY PHARMACEUTICAL INSURANCE COVERAGE
EPIC is a New York State program for income-eligible citizens, 65 or older, who need help paying for their prescriptions. EPIC enrollees are required to join a Medicare Part D plan.
