EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE

Persons who are out of heating oil or who are threatened with a utility termination, and who are not eligible for SSI or HEAP, may apply for Emergency Assistance. For eligibility information:

SENIOR ASSISTANCE FOR FUEL EMERGENCIES (SAFE) During the winter season persons who are completely out of fuel and who are not eligible for Emergency Assistance for Adults may be eligible under a special program funded by the NASSAU COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SENIOR CITIZEN AFFAIRS, for a one-time fuel delivery of up to 150 gallons by applying during regular business hours to:
