Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption – SCRIE

The SCRIE Program is offered in a limited number of municipalities in Nassau County to income-eligible persons, age 62 and over, who live in rent controlled or rent stabilized apartments. The program provides a full or partial exemption from future rent increases. Initial application must be made with the municipality.
