CHORE SERVICES

Shopping and limited chore services, including snow shoveling and leaf raking, are available at a nominal fee through youth programs in some communities. For further information, contact local school district or call: 227-8900

REBUILDING TOGETHER LONG ISLAND, INC.

Volunteers work to restore the homes of low income homeowners so they can continue to live in comfort and safety. All services are provided at no cost to the homeowner.

CITY AND TOWN HOME IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS

Qualified senior citizen homeowners may apply for interest-free loans to assist with weatherization, exterior improvements, window, door and/or roof replacement and emergency repairs.

WEATHERIZATION REFERRAL AND PACKAGING PROGRAM (WRAP)

Low income eligible seniors are assisted in obtaining weatherization services through local providers. These services include, but are not limited to, boiler repair, replacement of storm windows and doors, caulking and weather-stripping, etc. An individual plan is developed to include the identification of needs and resources and, thereafter, to provide the coordination of services needed.
