Home Delivered Meals

Two meals a day are delivered up to five days per week to certified homebound elderly 60 years of age or over who live alone and are unable to prepare meals for themselves. Therapeutic diets such as low sodium, diabetic as well as kosher and regular meals are available. This program is funded by the NASSAU COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SENIOR CITIZEN AFFAIRS. Participants are encouraged to make voluntary contributions. For information on eligibility and accessing the service, call:

WEEKEND MEALS PROGRAM
Salvation Army Program

With funds available through the Department, the Freeport Senior Community Service Center offers a take-home weekend meals program for participants who are unable to meet their nutritional needs on the weekends. Two meals are provided on Friday afternoon for the participants to take home for use on the weekends. For information, call: 623-2008

FANS Program
