Volunteers are screened and trained by professional staff and make regular home visits to help the elderly fight isolation. Changes in condition are reported to those professionals with the resources to help make a difference.

FOOD SHOPPING AND HOME MAINTENANCE
Some local supermarkets and food stores deliver. Some food shopping services will shop for a fee.
In some communities, youth groups and local school districts provide shopping and limited chore services for a nominal fee.
