Plead Not Guilty to Traffic Violation and Reschedule Conference or Trial Date

If you Plead Not-Guilty, and received a conference or trial notice and wish to reschedule the date you may call (516-572-2700) or write to the agency requesting a new date. You are entitled to two adjournments.
To change the date for a trial, you, or an authorized representative, must appear on the trial date at 9:00 AM with a notarized statement addressed to the Clerk of the Court explaining why you cannot appear on that date. This statement will be presented to the Judicial Hearing Officer for review and, if accepted, the case will be adjourned. Your failure to appear for a scheduled trial will result in the suspension of your driving license.
