Board of Elections Notify Voters of Changes
MINEOLA (July 26, 2011) The Nassau County Board of Elections today announced that they have been notifying voters by mail if their usual voting locations have been changed for the August 1st Special Election.
In order to accommodate summer schedules for the upcoming Special Election of August 1st, the Board has had to change 24 locations. Only voters, who regularly vote at these locations, will be receiving a postcard indicating the change. The commissioners stressed that these changes were not permanent and that voters can expect to return to their usual voting places for the Fall Elections. Moreover, the Board will post the location changes for the Special Election of August 1st on their website.
