Weitzman Public Service Announcement Highlights
Benefits of the NassauRx Drug Discount Card

This summer a familiar face will remind every Nassau County resident that they never have to pay full price for prescription drugs if they use the free NassauRx prescription drug discount card. Comptroller Howard Weitzman will be featured in a public service announcement (PSA) running on Cablevision starting June 30th highlighting the benefits of the NassauRx card.

“I am excited about the PSA running throughout the month of July on Cablevision so that the message about our Nassau Rx card will reach more and more people,” Weitzman said. “The Nassau Rxcard is a great, money-saving program for all Nassau residents.”

Everyone is eligible to participate in the free program. To receive a card you simply print one at www.caremark.com/nassaurx or you can call 1-877-321-2652 and one will be mailed to you. Once you have the card in your hand you go to your local pharmacy, present your card and start saving. There are no limits, 9 out of 10 pharmacies nationwide accept the NassauRx discount card, and you can even use it to get a discount on your pets’ medication.

Nassau residents have already saved over $9 million dollars using this program. To learn more you can visit our Web site at www.nassaucountyny.gov/agencies/Comptroller/index.html or call 1-877-321-2652.
