Nassau County Is Calling All Young Artists

Announce the County's Annual Storm Water Management Logo and Slogan Contest

Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi and the Nassau County Department of Public Works are looking for artists - ages 5 through 13 - to design a logo and slogan for the County’s Storm Water Management Program. The logo and slogan will be used by the County on the Program’s educational materials, which will help educate residents about the negative impact storm water runoff can have on the various streams, ponds and bays in and around the our local communities.

The contest is open to Nassau County children ages 5-13. All submissions must be the entrant’s original artwork. No copies or tracings are permitted and the logo should be suitable for many formats and a slogan must be included. All contest submissions must be postmarked by Aug. 31, 2006.
