Suozzi Announces “STOP DWI” Initiative for Nassau County

North Bellmore, N.Y. - Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi announced today that that Nassau County Police Department, Lynbrook Police Department, Rockville Centre Police Department, and the Long Beach Police Department will participate in a “STOP DWI” and aggressive driving campaign on Saturday June 23, 2007.This multi- agency effort will concentrate primarily on Nassau County’s south shore.The additional police officers utilized during this initiative are sponsored by the New York State’s “STOP DWI” grant money.

Auxiliary Police Officers will also be located at high visible locations throughout the designated patrol areas handing out educational literature to the motoring public about the dangers of drunk driving.
