Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi, along with Deputy County Executive for Economic Development Patrick Duggan and Evette Beckett-Tuggle, Executive Director of the Business Development Unit, recently met with Cardozza Plumbing Corporation, the first WBE qualified for Empire Zone.

Business Development Unit(BDU) seeks to make Nassau County a destination for businesses wishing to operate in or expand on Long Island.

The BDU staff meets directly with small, mid-size and large businesses to assess their expansion and growth needs.

Additionally, the BDU works in conjunction with the Office of Housing and Intergovernmental Affairs and the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) to leverage resources from the federal, state and local governments as well as resources of its own to promote economic growth in Nassau County.
