Long Island International Film Expo Announces 2008 Line-Up

The 11th Annual Long Island International Film Expo announces another thought-provoking, entertaining lineup of 134 short and feature-length independent films from all over the world, including films shot right here on Long Island. 

LIIFE will screen domestic films as well as films from India, Africa, Poland, Spain, Germany, South Korea, Australia, France, Israel, Italy, Scotland, the Philippines, Canada and Finland.

The films boast celebrities such as Brian Dennehy, Michael Constantine, Mary Kay Place, James McDaniel, Ali Larter, Layne Garrison, Waylon Payne, Missi Pyle, Kelly Preston, Allison Janney, Dennis Boutsikaris, Robert Clohessy, DeDee Pfeiffer, Paul Ben-Victor, Erik Per Sullivan, Tom Arnold, Kevin Nealon, Nora Zehetner, Maria Conchetta Alonzo, Robert Costanzo and others.  

There will be industry insider lectures, opportunities to talk with filmmakers, and an actors’ panel featuring William Sadler, Mizuo Peck, Anthony Mangano and Yancy Butler.   Many other celebrities will be in attendance during the opening and closing night parties as well as the film screenings and panels. There are also acting workshops, distribution and screen writing panels and a Filmmakers Breakfast. The Long Island International Film Expo will be held from July 8 -17 at the Bellmore Movies.

Tickets are $9 per film block for general admission, $6 for senior citizens, $20 for a day pass or $60 for a gold pass.  Senior citizens and students can bring a friend for free weekdays for film blocks that begin before 5 pm.
