Beach Closings

Due to heavy rainfall, the Nassau County Department of Health has closed the following four south shore beaches as a precautionary measure, effective today, July 23rd.

Biltmore Beach Club Beach
Hewlett Point Beach
Island Park Beach
Phillip Healey Beach

Storm water runoff can have a negative impact by elevating bacteria levels that are used to assess bathing water quality.
