Most Nassau County Beaches Open

The Nassau County Department of Health is reporting that all beaches on the North and South Shore are open except for Crescent Beach in the City of Glen Cove.  This beach is closed due to elevated bacteria levels.

As a result of this heavy rain, residents are urged to remove or empty standing water from children’s toys, flower pots, garbage cans or any object that can hold water.  This will help reduce the number of mosquitoes around your home.
