Most Nassau County Beaches Open

Nassau County Department of Health is reporting that all beaches operating for the 2010 season are currently open except for Hewlett Point Beach, Island Park Beach and Merrick Estates Civic Association.  These three beaches are closed as a precautionary measure due to heavy rainfall.
