Aerial Spraying for West Nile Virus in Parts of Nassau County Completed
Ground Spraying Completed
On Wednesday evening, August 11th, the ground spraying for West Nile virus was completed in parts of Plandome, Plandome Manor, Plandome Heights, Manhasset, Munsey Park, Flower Hill, Port Washington, Sands Point, Glen Cove, Sea Cliff, Glenwood Landing, Glen Head, Old Brookville, Massapequa Park and East Massapequa.
In addition, on Wednesday evening, August 11th, part of the aerial spraying for West Nile virus in Nassau County was completed. The following sections of the County were completed:
South of Jericho Turnpike (Rt.25) and north of Sunrise Highway from the Queens border to the Suffolk County border
Weather permitting, Nassau County will complete the aerial spraying for the remaining sections of the County on Thursday, August 12th beginning at 7 pm and ending at 5 am.
These areas include:
South of Northern Boulevard (Rt.25A) and north of Jericho Turnpike (Rt. 25) from the Queens border to Cedar Swamp Road (Rt. 107).
