Beach Closings

Due to heavy rainfall, the Nassau County Department of Health has closed the following 10 North Shore beaches and 1 South Shore as a precautionary measure, effective today, June 18, 2009.

South Shore Beach

Philip Healey Beach

Storm water runoff can have a negative impact by elevating bacteria levels that are used to assess bathing water quality.
