Corbin Announces School Supplies Drive and Fundraiser for Kids in Need
Nassau County Deputy Presiding Officer Roger Corbin (D-Westbury) announced today the start of his annual School Supplies Drive and Fundraiser designed to provide donated and purchased school supplies to children in need.
In conjunction with the ABBA Leadership Center, Legislator Corbin’s office is collecting everything from backpacks and notebooks to crayons and glue sticks. Cash donations will be used to purchase supplies as well.
“Every child, no matter their situation, deserves to go to school with their own backpack, a notebook and anything else they need to get the education they deserve,” Corbin said. “I strongly encourage everyone to reach into their own pockets or head down to the store and think about the kids who need their help. Every child should be ready for their first day of school.”
School supplies can be dropped off at Legislator Corbin’s office at 1 West Street in Mineola, Room 115. Checks can be made out to the ABBA Leadership Center, Inc., or to cash. For more information, call Legislator Corbin’s office at (516) 571-6202.
