Legislator Scannell Brings Mammography Screening to Baldwin
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month; Early Detection is the Best Defense
Nassau County Legislator Joe Scannell is pleased to announce that the Nassau University Medical Center’s Digital Mammography Van is coming to Baldwin on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011 and will be stationed at the Fairview Shopping Center on Grand Avenue.
Breast health screenings will be administered to women who are at least 40 years old and include a breast examination by a nurse, a mammography, and instructions for breast self-examination. The screenings begin at 8:45 a.m. and an appointment is necessary.
