Legislator  Toback Secures $100,000 Funds to Renovate Baseball Field at Cedarhurst Park

Thanks to the efforts of Nassau County Legislator Jeff Toback (D-Oceanside), significant improvements will be made to the ball field at Cedarhurst Park. The rehabilitation project includes the purchase and installation of bleachers, fences, a sprinkler system, benches, brick walkway, decorative lighting and the installation of a custom clay field.

The intermunicipal agreement between Nassau County and the Incorporated Village of Cedarhurst will provide $100,000 in Community Revitalization Project funds for the renovation. "Being a big baseball fan myself, I am happy to be able to secure these funds to renovate the field at Cedarhurst Park, "Legislator Toback Said “It will be a great place for the kids to enjoy ‘America’s favorite pastime’.”

Some peripheral work will begin this summer at Cedarhurst Park. The work on the baseball field will begin after the Little League season is over.
