Hurricane Preparedness

June 1st marks the official start of the hurricane season.  While Nassau County does have hurricane preparedness plans, it is vital that each resident is educated on how to prepare for and what to do should a hurricane strike. Here are just a few of the topics that will be covered by representatives from Nassau County’s Office of Emergency Management, the American Red Cross, Pet Safe Coalition and CERT (Community Emergency Response Team).
