Legislator Toback Attends Dedication of Adolescent Center at Peninsula Counseling Center
The Adam Cohen and Jonah Richman Adolescent Center honors the memory of two young men who gave their lives in an extraordinary effort to help a friend. The center is designed to represent and continue what Adam and Jonah stood for and to make it possible for adolescents to receive the emotional help and support they may need in coping with their own lives.
Legislator Toback said, “One day soon, a young person seeking help at Peninsula Counseling will walk past the plaque, and ask: ‘Who was Adam Cohen? Who was Jonah Richman?’ They will be told the story of how Adam and Jonah lived, and about the heroic way they died, and it will have a positive impact on that youngster’s treatment.”

Nassau County Legislator Jeff Toback (D-Oceanside), left, attended the dedication of the Adolescent Center at Peninsula Counseling Center in Valley Stream. He was joined by Anita and Ira Richman, the parents of Jonah Richman,
and David and Jody Cohen, the parents of Adam Cohen all of Woodmere.
