Legislator Toback Thanks Danny Gallagher a Teen Who Helped Save Couple in Lynbrook Fire

Nassau County Legislator Jeff Toback (D-Oceanside) thanked Danny Gallagher, 18, of Lynbrook, who helped save the lives of

an elderly couple asleep in their Lynbrook home that was on fire. Danny continued to bang on the couple’s door until they exited their

home. Legislator Toback was joined by, from left, Legislator Fran Becker, and Danny’s parents, Karen and Brian. Legislator Toback

honored Danny’s heroism by presenting him with a county citation at a recent meeting of the Nassau County Legislature.
