Legislator Bosworth Celebrates Navrati Festival with Indo-US Community

Nassau County Legislator Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck) (forefront, with Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman) joined leaders from the Herricks Indo-US Community, dancers from the Milan Senior Program and Town of North Hempstead Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman and County Legislator Wayne Wink (D-Roslyn) at the Herricks Indo-US Community’s Annual Navratri Festival held in Herricks High School on October 1st. Legislator Bosworth, who presented the group with a citation, commented, "It is an honor for me to recognize and participate in these spectacular celebrations dedicated to the Hindu Mother Goddess and symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. The Herricks Indo-US Community has taken an active role in enabling its members to understand better the workings of the school system, to participate in it and to enhance communication between members and the community at large."
