Legislator Bosworth Applauds “COPAY Kids” and Encourages them to Follow Their Dreams

Nassau County Legislator Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck) attended the COPAY Kids Summer Show (Community Organization for Parents and Youth, Inc.), a program created and presented by young people that included an art display, a musical melody performance and slide show. The children thanked Legislator Bosworth for her support and encouragement. COPAY receives funding from the county.

“I wholeheartedly support COPAY’s commitment to helping young people learn how important it is to give back to their community, become leaders, and succeed academically,” Legislator Bosworth said. “I enjoyed seeing all that the children accomplished this summer and appreciated the invitation.”

COPAY Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to providing culturally competent bilingual substance abuse treatment and prevention services. Additionally, COPAY promotes self-esteem and leadership in all children, in an effort to break the cycle of addiction.

junior counselor; Tracey Raasch, teacher; Amanda Aguilocuadra, junior counselor; Nelly Gordpour, junior counselor in training;

and children from COPAY. Legislator Bosworth presented COPAY with a county citation.
