Legislator Bosworth Honors Great Neck Robotics Team
Leg. Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck) recently honored the William A. Shine Great Neck South High School Robotics Team and their creation, "The Rebellion," as a Point of Personal Privilege before the full Legislature of Nassau County. The team had the great distinction of having won the School-Business Partnership of Long Island's 2010 Chairman's Award and the Underwriters Laboratories' Industrial Safety Award. John Motchkavitz, the team's advisor, was as enthusiastic as the students in receiving the honor. The entire legislature watched in awe as the students demonstrated the many maneuvers they could make with their robot (including playing soccer). Congratulations on a job well done and best of luck this year as the team strives again for success!
