Legislator Bosworth Hosts Manhasset Emergency Preparedness Seminar

Nassau County Legislator Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck) will host an Emergency Preparedness Seminar at the Black Box Theater in Manhasset Middle School, 200 Memorial Place, on Tuesday, July 21 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Representatives from Nassau County’s Office of Emergency Management, along with the American Red Cross, CERT and Pet Safe Coalition, will provide information on how we can best protect ourselves, our families, friends and pets in the event of a hurricane. A representative from the Nassau County Department of Health will also be there to educate us on how to best deal with public health emergencies including West Nile virus, H1N1 influenza and food & water safety.

“I’m happy that I can provide this important service to the Manhasset community,” Legislator Bosworth said. “Having a plan in place ahead of time and understanding how to protect yourself and your family is vital. The experts that I’ve invited will provide all of the necessary information needed to keep residents safe and prepared in case of a hurricane or health emergency. I encourage everyone to attend this very important seminar.”
